About Me
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens,
I’m Amy. I’ve been an athlete for most of life and am one of those very fortunate souls who have always loved to move and sweat everyday without hesitation. I have realized over the years of working with clients that this is actually the exception not the rule. I genuinely consider it a gift to move each day, one that I never take for granted.
My current personal movement regimen not only includes yoga, but also kettle bells, mobility/stability ball, plyometrics, free weights, body weight training, land mines, BOSU ball, wall work, calisthenics and anything else I come across that seems interesting or challenging.
I have been practicing yoga for almost 15 years and teaching for the better part of 10 years. I began my teaching experience in an indoor hot power yoga studio before an injury made me re-think the way I wanted to guide any movement practice, but specifically yoga. My yoga education is in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styled yoga as well as certification in Core Strength Vinyasa. I have studied with Sadie Nardini and Leslie Kaminoff. I’ve also completed my CPT certification and will be offering a mobility ball class later this summer.
I am the proud partner of an awesome Jazz drummer and parent to one fabulous dog, Lou and my would be familiar cat, Faline.
